Company activities and impact

The whole community (individuals, communities, grassroot organisations and other voluntary, third sector and public agencies) of Leeds and wider, with a focus on young people from deprived, marginalised and ethnic minority groups in South Leeds. During the financial year 2023-2024, the community (mainly children and young people from 5 years old to 16 years old) have benefited from free weekly sports and physical activities. Parents, siblings and families have too been encouraged to contemplate a healthy lifestyle, focussing on a holistic wellbeing (mind, body & soul); Physical wellbeing; being conscious of the food types, water hydration, and intoxications such as smoking, alcohol and other substances. Mental wellbeing; to be mindful of a healthy mind and partaking in activities that keep the mind active by exercising, meditating, prioritise rest and have proper sleep, pursue hobbies and interests, learn new skills, social interaction. Enjoying nature and the natural surroundings. Spiritual wellbeing; to have a positive outlook on life, to be proud of their background and cultures one relates to as well as exploring the differences of others whilst sharing & celebrating the commonalities. To be proud of the community and area in which one lives and to work towards playing a active part in the society and contributing positively to the country in which we live.

Consultation with stakeholders

Majority of the company’s stakeholders are residents of Beeston, South Leeds and its surroundings. Some stakeholders are from other parts of Leeds. Majority of the directors live locally and understand the needs of the community. The directors have built a trusted relationship with local parents, children and young people. We have completed questionnaires with the local community via in person, as well as paper and online to understand their needs. On the back of the gathered information, we have planned regular weekly sports and physical activities to encourage social interaction, holistic wellbeing, as well at the importance of healthy food & hydration.
