Directors' report period ended 31 March 2024

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2024

Principal activities of the company

Following our research into the needs of the local community, we have identified that music and dance play a significant role in promoting community cohesion and improving overall health and wellbeing. In response, Teenworld CIC is launching a socially impactful dance and music initiative aimed at bringing people together in a positive, inclusive environment. To support this, we have acquired the necessary equipment to facilitate a fundraising campaign, which is scheduled to begin in the final quarter of 2025. These efforts will help sustain and grow our services for the community. In parallel, we are expanding our mental health support by incorporating a qualified counsellor into our team, alongside volunteer counsellors. As part of this development, we will be seeking BACP approval to become a recognised counselling provider, ensuring we adhere to the highest professional standards. These initiatives reflect our commitment to addressing both the emotional and social needs of the community.

Company activities and impact

Teenworld CIC – Community Expansion & New Service Development Teenworld CIC is in the process of expanding our services to further support and uplift the local community. As part of this development, we are planning to launch a regular socially beneficial dance event aimed at bringing people together, promoting wellbeing, and encouraging social inclusion through creative expression for both adults and teenagers. In addition to this initiative, we also intend to register as a BACP-approved counselling provision. This will allow us to offer accredited mental health support services, ensuring high standards of care and professional guidance for the individuals and families we serve.
