The company provides an umbrella for local marine interest groups in North Norfolk. We provide a CIC bank account so that grants can be applied for without needing to use a personal account. We represent the interests of all our members at meetings with government bodies, national charities etc, to give a 'bigger voice'. This year we have represented our members at in-person meetings with the local IFCA which are also attended by aggressive fishermen and others. We can use a roster of people to make sure that nervous members are represented and nobody is 'burnt out' by the experience. By gathering many small beach cleaning groups together, we can present data in a useful, coherent way that maps loss of fishing gear along the coast and how far it travels before making land. Data from mammal rescue groups is also incorporated to give a more detailed picture.
No consultation with stakeholders
