In 2024, Arising Youth CIC continued to deliver impactful community-based initiatives aimed at empowering young people through personal development, employability skills, and mental wellbeing support. A key highlight of the year was our successful delivery of the Resilient Young Minds programme, which was designed to equip young people aged 18–25 with tools to build emotional resilience, confidence, and a positive mindset. The programme ran across several weeks and included a series of interactive workshops, group mentoring sessions, and wellness-focused activities. Participants engaged in sessions covering: - Emotional intelligence and mental health awareness - Goal setting and positive self-identity - Building resilience and coping strategies - Peer support and self-expression through creative arts The programme was well received, with positive feedback from participants, parents, and partner organisations. 30 young people completed the programme, with many reporting improved self-confidence, better emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of purpose. The impact of Resilient Young Minds has been long-lasting, with some participants going on to access further education, employment opportunities, or volunteering roles within the community. This initiative strengthened our commitment to supporting youth mental health and affirmed the importance of early intervention and holistic support for young people navigating life challenges.
Yes, stakeholder consultation played a key role in the development and delivery of our Resilient Young Minds programme. We engaged with young people, parents, community leaders, educators, and mental health practitioners to better understand the needs and challenges facing our target audience. Their input helped shape the structure, content, and delivery style of the programme to ensure it was relevant, accessible, and impactful. Ongoing feedback was also collected during the programme, allowing us to make responsive adjustments and improve outcomes. This collaborative approach strengthened our partnerships and ensured the programme remained community-led and youth-focused.
