The company encourages the practice, promotion, development and participation of amateur golf in Alnwick town. The main business of running the golf clubhouse and golf at Alnwick Castle Golf Club has now been undertaken by a company within Northumberland Estates. ACGC CIC now promotes the development and participation of amateur golf in Alnwick funded by donations. In 2024/25 courses were provided for an Introduction to Ladies Golf run by a local golf professional, as well as a number of introductory courses for junior golfers at the local secondary school. Further developments are planned in 2025/26 to promote golf and its development through the provision of practice facilities and further introductory and instructional courses.
Junior golf lessons were arranged with the local Duchess secondary school, and golf professionals at Burgham Golf club and Alnmouth Golf club were consulted with and provided expert tuition.
