Babigloo Music for Babies CIC delivers non-verbal, music-led classes. In this financial year we have worked with local authority, Dorset Council to develop Babigloo delivery across the whole of the County. Upton, Wareham, Portland and Littlemoor, Weymouth, 2 Arts Centres and 2 newly established Family Hubs. We completed the previous Youth Music funding at CODA as part of BCP delivery. We developed partnerships with Dorset Music Service and started developing Babigloo Operations App. We started preparing for a Catalyzer Funding application to Youth Music for Jan 26 to Dec 28 and a Youth music energiser Fund. We evaluated the Youth Music Fund A 2022-23. In January 2024 we started to deliver the Youth Music Catalyzer Fund in 7 venues across Dorset. We are part of a Dorset Early Years Music strategy through Dorset Music Service and we also shared our practice with the Cornwall Music Service Trust. The company began in October 2017. In the accounting period 2023 – 2024 we have received funds from BCP Council, Dorset Council, PayPal Donations, Youth music Access Fund and Youth Music Grant. We work with families where English is their second language. We welcome both parents and their families/grandparents thereby increasing family bonds. We have expanded our work to up to 2 years in our progression classes in response to parental and funders requests. We employed 5 music leaders and one youth under 18 music leader as a volunteer. We have developed our pool of local musicians 13+ We trained and mentored 2 new music leaders We have continued to be very active on social media promoting the work of Babigloo, the techniques we use and other providers within the early years network.
