COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

FASHION FUSION CIC

Company Number: 14394719 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2024

Company activities and impact

The company’s activities and impact (Oct 2023 – Oct 2024) During the year, Fashion Fusion CIC delivered a range of fully funded, free-to-access community projects and creative workshops aimed at promoting social inclusion, skill-building, and wellbeing. These included sewing, upcycling, natural dyeing, and sustainable fashion sessions, all designed to encourage creativity, reduce textile waste, and inspire confidence in participants of all ages and backgrounds. By removing financial barriers through funding support, we ensured that everyone could take part, regardless of income or prior experience. Our workshops brought together a diverse cross-section of the community, helping people to learn practical skills such as garment repair, fabric upcycling, and creative design, while also providing a friendly and supportive environment that reduced isolation and strengthened community connections. Through these activities, Fashion Fusion CIC not only diverted textiles from landfill but also empowered participants to make more sustainable fashion choices, contributing to environmental awareness and fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their creations. Feedback from attendees highlighted increased confidence, new friendships, and a renewed enthusiasm for hands-on making.

Consultation with stakeholders

Consultation with stakeholders Fashion Fusion CIC’s main stakeholders include local community members, workshop participants, partner organisations, and funders. Throughout the year, we engaged with these stakeholders informally and formally to shape and improve our activities. Consultation took place through: Feedback forms and surveys at the end of workshops Informal discussions during sessions Input from partner community groups and venues Ongoing conversations with funders regarding project priorities and outcomes As a result of feedback, we: Introduced beginner-friendly sewing and upcycling projects to support those with no prior experience Expanded sessions to include more sustainable fashion and natural dyeing activities, responding to local interest Scheduled workshops at different times of day to make them more accessible Increased opportunities for social interaction in sessions to help reduce isolation This ongoing dialogue ensures our projects remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the people and communities we serve.

Directors' remuneration

Payments were made to directors solely in respect of their delivery and preparation of workshop activities as part of the CIC’s community projects. No additional remuneration or salaries were paid for their duties as directors.
