Soul Restore CIC 14537306: Community Report 2024 Director's Statement This report outlines the activities and impact of Soul Restore CIC for the period ending December 31, 2024. The organization's commitment to empowering trauma survivors was advanced through online and in-person programs, supported by the Thames Valley PCC Community Fund. This document details the initiatives undertaken and their achieved outcomes, reflecting the organization's adherence to its stated mission and values. Alison Lindenbaum & Sarah Carter Directors, Soul Restore CIC Mission and Values Soul Restore CIC is a Community Interest Company providing survivor empowerment programs. Our mission is to establish secure environments where individuals impacted by trauma can access restorative practices, cultivate inner resources, and enhance their well-being. Our operations are guided by the following principles: Compassion: Providing empathetic and respectful support. Empowerment: Fostering client strengths and promoting self-efficacy. Accessibility: Ensuring program availability to individuals in need. Integrity: Delivering professional, evidence-informed services with transparency. Programmatic Impact: 2024 Initiatives In 2024, Soul Restore CIC implemented two primary programs, directly supported by the Thames Valley PCC Community Fund grant. These initiatives demonstrated the organization's commitment to comprehensive survivor empowerment. 1. Survivor Space: 8-Week Online Empowerment Course Program Overview: The "Survivor Space" online course provided an 8-week program focused on healing and personal development. It concentrated on building foundational resilience, enhancing emotional regulation, and fostering self-compassion. Outcomes: Participants gained understanding of stress responses, developed inner resources, and learned self-regulation techniques. Online delivery reduced geographical barriers to access. Resource Allocation: This course utilized £2,900 of grant funding. 2. Rest & Bloom: Face-to-Face Retreat for Survivors of Domestic Violence Program Overview: The "Rest & Bloom" retreat provided a one-day, in-person experience for 15 survivors of domestic violence. It aimed to offer a secure environment for rest, collective healing, and shared empowerment. Outcomes: Participants engaged in direct, in-person activities, which facilitated community building and validation. The curriculum included grounding tools, restorative practices (e.g., iRest meditation), and activities designed to support personal agency. Participant feedback indicated benefits in communal support and increased optimism. Resource Allocation: The total expenditure for this retreat was £1,382. 3. Enhanced Therapeutic Capacity: EMDR Training Strategic Investment: To further enhance specialized trauma-informed care capabilities, Director Alison Lindenbaum completed an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training course. This £605 investment strategically expands Soul Restore CIC's capacity to offer advanced therapeutic support to survivors, broadening available healing modalities. Financial Overview: Resource Utilization Soul Restore CIC's financial activities for the period ending December 31, 2024, reflect the judicious allocation of resources directly towards its community purpose. Total Income: £5,000 – Derived exclusively from the grant provided by the Thames Valley PCC Community Fund. This funding enabled all program deliveries and capacity-building initiatives. Total Expenditure: £4,887 – Funds were allocated to direct program costs and essential professional development. Survivor Space Online Course: £2,900 Rest & Bloom Retreat: £1,382 EMDR Training (Alison Lindenbaum): £605 Funds Carried Forward: £113 – A surplus carried forward to support immediate operational continuity. All received funds were strategically utilized to maximize social impact and contribute to survivor healing journeys. Strategic Outlook: 2025 Priorities Building on 2024's outcomes, Soul Restore CIC is committed to expanding its positive impact. Strategic priorities for 2025 include: Program Expansion: Commencing additional cohorts of "Survivor Space" to increase beneficiary reach. Advanced Support Development: Integrating new EMDR expertise to offer specialized therapeutic interventions. Partnership Reinforcement: Fostering collaboration with local community organizations to support more survivors. Sustainable Growth: Pursuing additional grant funding and community support for long-term program sustainability and expansion. Acknowledgements Soul Restore CIC extends its gratitude to the Thames Valley PCC Community Fund for their financial support, which was foundational to the success of our 2024 programs. Appreciation is also extended to beneficiaries for their engagement, to dedicated volunteers for their contributions, and to the directors for their commitment.
