Directors The Directors who served during the financial period and up to the date of this report were: Alison Lindenbaum Sarah Carter 2. Principal Activities Soul Restore CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing empowerment programmes for survivors. Our principal activities during the period involved delivering both face-to-face and online initiatives aimed at supporting individuals impacted by trauma. During the period, a key focus was the delivery of an 8-week online course, "Survivor Space," and a face-to-face retreat, "Rest & Bloom," specifically benefiting 15 survivors of domestic violence. Additionally, professional development, such as EMDR training for Director Alison Lindenbaum, was undertaken to enhance support for survivors further, directly contributing to our social purpose. 3. Review of Business and Future Prospects During the period ending 31 December 2024, Soul Restore CIC successfully continued its mission of empowering survivors through accessible and impactful programmes. Key activities included the delivery of an 8-week online course ("Survivor Space") and a face-to-face retreat ("Rest & Bloom") for 15 survivors of domestic violence. Specialised EMDR-related services were also enhanced through professional training. The Directors remain committed to the company's social purpose and intend to continue and expand these valuable programmes in the forthcoming year, seeking to reach more beneficiaries and deepen the positive impact on the community. 4. Financial Review The financial performance of Soul Restore CIC for the period ending 31 December 2024 is summarised below: Income: Total income of £5,000 was received into the company's account, primarily from the Thames Valley Community Fund. Expenditure: An 8-week online course ("Survivor Space") for survivors was run using grant money, costing £2,900 A face-to-face retreat ("Rest & Bloom") for 15 survivors of domestic violence cost £1,382. Professional development, specifically an EMDR course for Director Alison Lindenbaum to further support survivors, costs £605. Total Expenditure: £2,900 (online course) + £1,382 (retreat) + £605 (EMDR course) plus fuel £113 £5,000 Funds Carried Forward: The funds carried over to the next financial period amount to £0 The company spent the total grant funding on supporting programme delivery. The Directors are satisfied with the financial management and adherence to the company's social objectives within its financial capacity. 5. Statement of Directors' Responsibilities The Directors are responsible for preparing the Directors' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and accounting standards. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. 6. Enhanced Therapeutic Capacity: EMDR Training Strategic Investment: To further enhance specialized trauma-informed care capabilities, Director Alison Lindenbaum completed an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training course.
