    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Equipment - 20% on reducing balance Fixtures and fittings - 20% on reducing balance Computer equipment - 33% on reducing balance

Company activities and impact

Derby Extreme Cheer Academy (DECA) is an award-winning cheerleading academy based in Derby, UK. We offer a wide range of cheerleading opportunities for children and adults of all experience and levels, including competitive, recreational, and pre-school programs. The academy is committed to promoting life skills such as teamwork, confidence, and resilience through the sport of cheerleading in a fun and inclusive environment. DECA boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a full 9-panel sprung floor, fast track, tumble track, and various tumbling aids. All profits are reinvested into improving the gym and equipment. Over the years, DECA has grown into one of Derbyshire’s largest and most successful cheerleading squads, with numerous national and international accolades, including podium finishes at the All Star Worlds in Florida and Summit bids for Portugal in 2026. We strive for inclusion and keep our training fees as low as possible to be able to offer our services to as many athletes as possible. All of our coaches are home grown and have completed multiple recognised cheerleading qualifications throughout the years, we can also offer work placements for any child or adult wanting to enter on to the coaching pathway.
