COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

GROWING @ GROVE PARK CIC

Company Number: 14477020 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

Over the past year, our organisation, formerly known as Friends of Grove Park, has delivered consistent and impactful community services while undergoing significant transformation. We have run 6-hour supported volunteering sessions three days a week for all 52 weeks of the year, supporting a total of 52 volunteers. In addition, we have organised 49 workshops and events, managed two community vegetable beds, and maintained a circular economy initiative within the park. As part of our development, we rebranded with a new name and visual identity to better reflect our mission. We are currently negotiating a seven-year peppercorn lease on two derelict buildings to secure long-term infrastructure for our work. Our strategic capacity has been strengthened through business mentoring with The Cranfield Trust, and in collaboration with stakeholders, we have produced a comprehensive three-year business plan. We are also delivering educational activities in partnership with Weston College, Burley Inclusive, and Reset, and have developed a corporate sponsorship scheme to build engagement with local businesses.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have gathered information from stakeholders attending our volunteering regarding wellbeing through feedback forms. We have seen that we have had a massive impact on feelings of happiness, reduction of anxiety and reduction of feelings of social isolation in people attending our events and volunteering sessions. We have collected case studies from stake holders mapping their experience with us. We use social media to consult stakeholders about our name change and rebranding, asking them to vote online.
