In 2024, Cattleskate Academy CIC delivered 312 free skateboard coaching slots to participants aged 5 and above, ranging from complete beginners to intermediate-level skaters. Our sessions provided a safe and inclusive environment where people of all abilities, including those with a range of health conditions and additional needs, could take part. Through these sessions, participants developed their skateboarding skills, improved physical fitness, and supported their mental well-being. The coaching also encouraged social connections and friendships, fostering a stronger sense of community. By removing financial and accessibility barriers, our CIC ensured that everyone had the opportunity to benefit from the positive impact of skateboarding.
Cattleskate Academy CIC actively consulted with stakeholders throughout 2024 to ensure our activities met community needs. Stakeholders included participants and their families. We used feedback forms following sessions to gather insight on preferred session times, content, and suggestions for improving the skatepark. This feedback led to a broader community consultation: the Banff Skatepark Community Consultation was held online where participants shared ideas and priorities for the park’s future development. Actions taken in response to feedback included adjusting coaching session plans, expanding session offerings, and using participant suggestions to guide improvements at the skatepark, ensuring activities supported skill development, social interaction, and overall well-being.
The CIC has two directors. During the financial year 2024, directors received remuneration through the company’s PAYE scheme. Total remuneration paid to directors for the year amounted to £555. Payments were made in line with their roles and responsibilities as directors.
