The company is designing and operating online educational resources and in-person learning hubs for home-educated young people (between the ages of 12-18) around the UK, with a focus on supporting historically excluded groups to be able to access future-focused education and more pathways into the workplace. The first in-person hub opens in September 2025 in East Sussex. During the year 2024-25, the following activities have benefitted the community in the following ways: - Around 100 learners have had access to test and help refine our online learning journeys, designed and delivered with a focus on including globally and culturally diverse resources. - We have begun forming strong partnerships with organisations and companies within the local community around the first in-person hub, to be able to offer pathways into workplaces for young people who attend the hub; this also provides an active source of motivated and inspiring young people for local organisations. To date, we are in talks with 10 local organisations that will also support the launch of the local hub. - We have been preparing for the launch of the first in-person hub, reaching out to involve young learners and local organisations to help co-design the hub and the way it will operate.
The company’s stakeholders are learners, their families, organisations local to in-person learning hubs and global workplaces who can also sponsor seats at the hub. We have consulted with each stakeholder as follows: - Young people have been involved in testing and refining the online learning resources we’re building, which will form part of an online ‘curriculum’ that can be used by the in-person hubs if they choose. - A group of local young people (and their families) have been actively involved in designing how they’d like the first in-person hub to operate. - Local organisations have been invited to support the hub by sponsoring seats at the hub and providing workshops/talks ,etc.
There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
