Principal activities of the company

Throughout the reporting period, BCN continued its engagement with members. While offering support where required and initiating opportunities for members to connect with people or things that will enable their development were achieved, BCN hosted an event. The Sisterhood Unlocked II event aligned with International Women's Day & Women's History Month 2024. The evening allowed the women, particularly Black Women across the Criminology spectrum to: -Celebrate Black Womanhood in Criminology - Discuss a range of themes - Network and build relationships - Share Research - Exchange knowledge

Company activities and impact

During this filing period, BCN continued to provide spaces and opportunities for members to receive support, connect with other members or identify opportunities for their own development. A milestone event during this period - having been the sole chargeable event - called Sisterhood Unlocked gave celebrated international women's day, while also offering a safe space for women members to discuss a range of challenges and joys pertaining to their Criminology journey's. At the point of booking, attendees were given the opportunity to 'pay what they'd like', which was a nice touch. Attendees, regardless of whether they paid a fee or not, thoroughly enjoyed the session.
