COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

PRODIGY SPORT ACADEMY CIC

Company Number: 15241492 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2024

Company activities and impact

Collaborations with Local Organizations: The club has partnered with several local groups, including Winchester Go LD and Street Reach, to provide boxing training sessions tailored to individuals with learning disabilities and young people in need. These sessions are designed to promote physical activity, build confidence, and foster social inclusion.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our boxing club is fully qualified and prepared to deliver training sessions for people with Parkinson’s, and we are exploring opportunities to start these sessions in the future. Every Thursday we also provide a free one-hour class dedicated to supporting children with mental health challenges. To ensure we remain responsive to the needs of our community, we organise trial sessions for new participants every few months, giving them an opportunity to experience the club and provide us with feedback. We have also planned a structured feedback session in December with parents and other coaches. In addition, at the entrance of the club we provide feedback slips so that participants can share their views and suggestions at any time.

Directors' remuneration

The directors of the CIC receive remuneration for their work. The level of remuneration, including the payment of £40 per hour to our qualified boxing coach, is set and reviewed by the board. This rate is in line with local market rates for qualified boxing coaches and is considered reasonable, proportionate to the services provided, and consistent with the company’s community interest objectives.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
