Crystal Academy: Aerial Arts & Dance CIC provides inclusive dance, acrobatics, aerial hoop and theatre opportunities for children and young people in Hednesford/Cannock and the wider area. In this financial year, our activities benefited the community in the following ways: Funded Holiday Clubs with meals (Winter, Easter, Summer): Ran arts-based holiday clubs combining dance, acro and aerial activities with a free healthy meal each day. Places were prioritised for families facing financial hardship and children who benefit from safe, structured provision outside of term time. This reduced isolation, supported wellbeing, eased cost-of-living pressure on families, and provided reliable childcare cover. Subsidised community classes (year-round): Maintained subsidised places and reduced fees across weekly classes so that local children and young people - including those with SEND -could access regular physical activity, routine and positive peer groups. Support included flexible payment options and targeted bursaries to remove cost barriers. Two non-profit community showcases (Rugeley Rose Theatre): Produced two non-profit performances at the Rugeley Rose Theatre. Ticket income covered essential venue/technical costs, with any surplus reinvested into community provision. The showcases gave young people a professional platform to perform, strengthened community pride, and offered families an affordable cultural event.
