Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

In our first year, we have concentrated on building our network of local schools and authorities. We became an Approved Alternative Provision Provider for Gloucestershire County Council. We hosted an informal equine assisted taster session for 5 people. We assisted in the rehoming and rehabilitation of four equines via Pioneer Equestrian Coaching. All of these were local horses that would have been destroyed without our intervention. This benefits the community by providing emotional and financial relief to local equine owners and by engaging the services of local people such as veterinarians, farriers, equine dentist and therapists. We have offered volunteering opportunities to the local community with particular consideration given to those that are neurodivergent, encouraging them to develop skills and knowledge for mental wellbeing.

Consultation with stakeholders

Continuous and ongoing consultation occurs with our volunteers We were regularly in touch with local school heads and administration staff and local authority staff particularly those involved with SEN children. Other stakeholders we have engaged with includes local farmers, other VCSE sector groups, HETI (The federation of Horses in Education and Therapy). Feedback is always welcomed and consideration given to any improvement that we can make to increase our impact or improve our services to the local community.
