Women On Bikes is a community cycle club affiliated with Cycling UK, dedicated to offering free cycle rides to women in Liverpool. Women On Bikes have over 500 members, primarily from the BAME community. We recognize that cultural barriers can make it difficult for some women to take part in cycling, and we help break down those barriers. What We Offer: Free Bike & Helmet Loans Available for all rides. - Weekly 5-mile Traffic-Free Rides: Explore Sefton Park, Otterspool Park, princess park, the promenade, and Festival Gardens. - We especially encourage women who haven’t been on a bike for a while or never had the chance to learn. Since starting in May 2020, over 1000 women have participated in our rides, including many who were new or returning to cycling. We’ve received wonderful feedback from our participants, reflecting the positive impact our group has had.
Regular communication with stakeholders and funders, via meetings, groups, 121, email and social media.
