From 2023 to 2024, Incredible Oceans CIC solidified its position as a leader in ocean literacy in the UK. Through school presentations and an increased presence at science and music festivals across the country, we were able to reach wider numbers, in person for fun and engaging workshops. As well as working with young people and families, Incredible Oceans has continued to grow its reputation as a top provider of communications training for institutions such as the National Oceanography Centre. We built on the relationship with New Scientist Tours, running whale-watching tours in the Azores and securing new expeditions for 2025 to The Arctic.
Incredible Oceans requests detailed feedback from all stakeholders. Our stakeholders can be defined as: - Academic institutes, such as schools where we have delivered educational workshops - Event organisers who have hired us for festivals or other events - Researchers, academics or professionals who have undergone our science and communications training Working from the detailed feedback gained, we have been able to shape and improve our offerings to expand our audience. This in turn allows us to increase ocean literacy across age groups with the goal of protecting our ocean through better understanding.
