Company activities and impact

Company Activities & Impact W.I.L.D. CIC Mission - Connecting communities with nature. W.I.L.D. runs Forest School, and community projects for children and adults of all ages in urban city woodland. Providing opportunities to explore and experience the natural world through practical activities, play, games and lots of fun. W.I.L.D. has benefitted the local community in the following ways over the past year: Forest School W.I.L.D. Forest School OSC continues to provide out of school childcare provision based in the urban city woodlands of Linn Park Glasgow. Comprising home education, afterschool and weekend forest school. W.I.L.D also provides holiday camp all day childcare provision 3 days per week during school holidays, sessions are for up to 32 children. This year W.I.L.D. added new Tuesday Home Education & Afterschool Forest School and Friday Forest Teens sessions. W.I.L.D. also purchased a minibus to provide school pick-ups. W.I.L.D is a Forest School Association recognised Forest School provider. Community Projects W.I.L.D. continues to grow its community working in various city woodland locations around Greater Glasgow. Creating projects that aim to connect communities positively with their local green spaces. W.I.L.D. has worked with children and adults, community groups, housing associations, charities, primary, & secondary schools. W.I.L.D. received Local Area Partnership funding to provide monthly Family sessions. Over 150 people connected with their local woodland through this project. W.I.L.D. began a Social Forestry Project at Carmunnock Willow Coppice. Through connecting with the local community, including an information presentation in Carmunnock village hall; over 50 people have taken part in this project. W.I.L.D. received funding to start a small coppicing volunteering project. W.I.L.D. provided monthly community ‘Trees and Teas’ walks, and also ran CPD Sessions for Educators to help them gain confidence in taking learning outdoors. W.I.L.D. continues to work to support the aims of the Friends of Linn Park and GCC Countryside Ranger team, working in partnership to organise volunteering days of nature crafts, tree planting & litter picking. Staffing W.I.L.D. provided part time employment for 6 people and volunteering experiences for 10 people. Welcomed visits from organisations and individuals wishing to further their knowledge & experience in forest school & outdoor play.

Consultation with stakeholders

Consultation with Stakeholders W.I.L.D. updates stakeholders regularly on social media and issues a W.I.L.D. quarterly newsletter. Sessions are advertised on our website, social media, in local community magazines and on woodland notice boards. We request feedback from organisations, participants and families that work with us and attend local community meetings to plan future joint events.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £32,150. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
