CRAFT FORWARD CIC

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

Between 2024 and 2025, Craft Forward continued to grow as a community-driven initiative. We expanded our Blankets for London project, assembling an incredible 221 blankets for people experiencing homelessness across the city. We held 20 free knitting and crochet workshops, ran two six-hour knitting marathons at Southwark Cathedral, and launched our first knit club for men at 575 Wandsworth Road, creating more inclusive spaces for craft and connection. In collaboration with Lambeth Council, we also hosted two mending workshops, further promoting sustainability and skill-sharing amongst Lambeth Residents. Beyond our core activities, we raised funds to support the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, raising £1,476 through an art auction, a crochet workshop and a supper club, demonstrating our commitment to using craft for social good. Through these efforts, we strengthened our community, bringing people together through making and mutual care.

Consultation with stakeholders

We constantly consult stakeholders through a continuous feedback loop implemented in our workshop activities. Over 300 participants have engaged with our formal feedback form this year, providing valuable insights into the impact of our work. We have collected feedback from people of all age groups, starting from 18+, ensuring that our programmes remain inclusive and responsive to community needs. From our latest 2024 impact report statistics based on over 300 responses to our formal feedback survey by participants: 100% of respondents said that Craft Forward contributes to making crafts more accessible, 96.2% of respondents said ‘yes’ when asked if the workshops helps to make them feel more connected to their community, 92.8% of respondents rated their satisfaction with the workshop 8 or above, 88.5% of respondents rated how creative they feel after the workshop 8 or above, 282 respondents (83.4%) rated their experience with other participants and facilitators as 10 out of 10.
