COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

WIGGLETS CIC

Company Number: 12328817 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

Wigglets continues to impact the community in an incredible way. The classes bring families together, creating opportunities for social interaction, fun and physical activity. Parents also benefit greatly, with opportunities to try something different with their children and meet new people. Wigglets has been supporting charity events throughout the past year including fetes, community open days and more recently school readiness programmes in local schools. The sessions encourage children to mix with others and engage in fun physical activity, preparing for next steps in their journey. Wigglets has also been a club for Key Stage One children at a local school, offering a fun hour of entertainment for children who would usually be unlikely to access such clubs. High energy dance and movement has been coupled with mindfulness and relaxation activities. It has been a huge success.

Consultation with stakeholders

Parents of children who have attended Wigglets sessions continue to be incredibly complimentary about the benefits to their children. The sessions improve the child's confidence, they look forward to attending and notice a difference in their mood and desire to engage in physical activity. Children develop an 'I can' attitude and make friends. Physical and emotional benefits are mentioned frequently. Within the community, pre school leaders and school staff have been overwhelmed with the positive impact that the company has had on the children I continue to engage with.
