COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

GOSPEL EXPRESS CIC

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

This year we carried out our regular activities. We had a visioning day, appointed the leadership Team and shared vision for the year. Conducted conferences, seminars, conventions. Set-up and ran a range of courses for training and education and mentored learners into different job role. Supported local Churches and Community organisation in meeting the needs of the local communities. For example, mental health awareness seminars and counselling. We are now in the process of purchasing lands to build a Church and Community centres to meet the needs of local communities and to enable the Church to carry out its mission. We are sourcing funding for the project and have secured a Building Project Manager. Some of the church and community is donating to the cause as funds are available. Some have offered loans to be repaid. We have also secured loans which is payable monthly. The Academy is slowly developing and attracting more students. Being online does restrict what we’re able to offer. The Building project will include building an education institution. The Academy conducted courses – Prison Chaplaincy, Leadership, Pastoral Theology, Counselling and Church Administration. We trained and ordained pastors and launched them into ministry. Trained and equip leaders for community work. We have being training and equipping leaders who will be part of the project when it becomes active. We were privileged to take a team to serve the people of Uganda, training leaders, supporting orphanages and local churches. We finished strong and all objectives were met. However, a few leaders had to step down from position, which mean those remaining had to work much harder to achieve goals set.

Consultation with stakeholders

Due to the vison to build and develop a multipurpose Centre, we have now organised a Board of Trustees/Ministerial Board with whom we consult when making big decisions. We are working with a network of local churches as support for each other’s mission.
