ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUST
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 NOVEMBER 2024


The Charity's objects are to support any charity or any charitable purpose in Lower Fishguard and the surrounding area as the Directors decide.

During the year the Trust continued to inspect and carry out day-to-day maintenance of the Trust's playground equipment in the village. The grounds belong to Pembrokeshire County Council and the responsibility for maintenance of the grounds and equipment lies with Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council to whom the Trustees report from time to time on any issues that have arisen. .

The Trust also continued to keep a watching brief over the two sculptures in its care.

Very sadly the Trustees report the passing away on 19 December 2024 of the Trusts long -standing Treasurer and Trustee Mrs Annette Marshall. .

Structure and Governance

The Charity is controlled by its governing document, a memorandum of association, and constitutes a limited company, limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.

Financial Review

No fundraising took place during the year since reserves were felt to be sufficient for immediate purposes.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

The directors of the company are also charity trustees for the purposes of charity law and under the company's Articles are known as members of the company. Under the requirements of the Memorandum and Articles of Association the directors are required to retire by rotation. Appointment of directors is by the charity in general meeting or by the directors.

The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 30 November 2024.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 30 November 2024 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for:
(a)ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Sections 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
(b)preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its surplus or deficit for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.

The financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

In accordance with Section 444 of the Companies Act 2006, the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings has not been delivered.

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Heritage assets - not provided
Playground equipment - 15% on cost
