PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Over the past year, our fundraising efforts have brought the community together in remarkable ways. Participation in Events such as the Halloween Party for the Mayor of Redbridge’s initiatives for the Mayor’s Appeal and contributions to Lifelites charity, have all had a lasting impact. The Mayor’s Appeal supported Elhap, a much-needed resource facilitating adventure and nature play opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and complex care needs, whilst also providing vital respite for their families and carers. Elhap’s mission is to provide inclusive, natural, and stimulating adventure play and related recreation for all children, young people, and adults who are disadvantaged through disability, adversity, or difficult life experience. Their accessible, user led and family-friendly services ensure that those most in need are supported in an environment that fosters joy, confidence, and community. The contributions to Lifelites has helped provide Eyegaze technology – a ground breaking, fully portable system which empowers children with life limiting conditions to communicate, play, and connect with the world around them, whether in palliative care services or from the comfort of their own homes. For children who cannot speak or are non-verbal, this technology is truly life-changing, allowing them to express themselves, make choices, and engage with others. This aligns closely with our vision of supporting disabled children and ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, has a voice and the opportunity to thrive. The combined success of these initiatives reflects the power of community spirit. By coming together, we have enabled children and families across Redbridge and beyond to take control, build life changing connections, and feel a greater sense of inclusion and independence.
