COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

INNER BLISS WELLBEING CIC

Company Number: 13018390 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

Over the last year we have harvested a community of yoga practitioners across Merseyside, with women cultivating friendships and connections with others who have similar lived experiences. They have told us that our sessions have been life saving, supporting them with mental health, anger management, loneliness and physical health. Over the past year we have delivered 731 sessions for 489 beneficiaries across Merseyside. We have shaped support networks. Our service users need us to continue to nurture these relationships, combating isolation and loneliness as a result. 25% said that before they would not have attended a retreat as they were too anxious, but now they feel part of a community, feeling ‘overwhelmed with serenity in an inclusive practice that is accessible to everyone’. Most individuals wouldn’t have access to holistic therapy due to lack of funds, resulting in self medicating or substance abuse. Three women have stopped taking medication and replaced it with holistic practices. We offer signposting as our staff are mental health first aiders. We check the ‘hub of hope’ which provides a list of local community services and charities for individuals who are in crisis. One service user who was living in a women’s shelter told us that she was feeling lonely and having panic attacks. We connected her with the Open Door charity where she was able to receive immediate mental health support and is now hoping to volunteer as a mentor there. Surveys showed that 91.7% of practitioners felt more empowered, less stressed/anxious and were likely to attend sessions again. 100% said that they had a positive impact on their mental health.
