In the financial year ended 31/08/2024, Orange Bow CIC's activities have directly benefited the community in the following ways: Digital Skills Workshops: We ran free workshops, attended by a total of individuals. These workshops covered essential skills such as using email, online banking, and video calls, enabling participants to stay connected and manage their daily lives more effectively. IT Support Services: Our volunteer-led IT support service assisted individuals with technical issues, including setting up new devices and troubleshooting software problems. This service is particularly vital for the elderly and those who cannot afford professional support. Partnerships with Local Charities: We collaborated with local charities, to deliver tailored digital training programs for their beneficiaries. This approach helped us reach specific groups, such as refugees and individuals with disabilities. Volunteer Opportunities: We provided volunteering opportunities to local residents, who contributed many hours of their time. These volunteers gained valuable experience, developed their own skills, and strengthened community ties. Employment Support: As a result of our training, a good number pf participants have reported securing employment or starting their own small businesses, demonstrating a tangible improvement in their economic prospects.
