COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

MOUSEHOLD SOUTH ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION CIC

Company Number: 14514144 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

Mousehold South Allotment Association has continued to grow over the past year and currently has 50 members. Using the grant money received the Association has continued to make improvements to the allotment site, bettering the facilities for members, providing access to new tools and maintaining the upkeep of the new site composting toilet. In late Spring four new murals were installed around the site depicting the produce and wildlife we have on site and adding a burst of colour. Produce has been grown on the community plot again this year, supplying the local food bank, which serves the community in the area surrounding the allotment site. The Butterfly Conservation Society continues to visit the site each season to monitor our butterfly and moth populations. Wildlife on site is also monitored via the Association’s wildlife cameras. The Association will be holding a community event this summer to celebrate National Allotments Week, running habitat building workshops, competitions and a social BBQ.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have 3 directors of the CIC who also serve as the main committee for the Association, all of which are voted in by the members. The committee must agree on any actions taken. The members are informed via regular newsletters, Facebook updates, information boards on site. All members are invited to quarterly meetings and are consulted on any decisions before they are carried out. All plot holders, including non-members, are invited to attend meetings, to encourage wider community participation.
