The company exists to generally carry on activities which benefit the community and to promote for the benefit of primarily but not exclusively the communities across London in need of relief from financial hardship due to their social and/or economic circumstances. We received grant funding and utilised volunteers as a resource to listen to community voices and co-design projects, mainly the wellbeing ones. Main achievements were: a) developed a website for one of the groups we supported to enhance their work b) delivering wellbeing projects for -35 people who have a disadvantage or have suffered trauma in the community – workshops in flower arrangement, body cream, soap and candle making, yoga, dealing with grief and remembering their deceased children -67 over 50s engaged in wellbeing activities - dancing, gardening, yoga, walks, knitting and crocheting. c) tours & trips -108 people went on four coach trips and evening entertainments d) intergenerational -over 200 people attended a Christmas gala -15 engaged in intergenerational activities such as teaching young people cooking cultural meals -9 regularly volunteer in the community -16 reported improved mental and physical conditions.
Consultation and co-designing is now embedded in our processes. -We mostly work with preexisting groups in the community and use a baseline questionnaire for people joining groups and end of season/project questionnaires to assess impact. -we have consult with group leaders on a regular basis, sometimes weekly. -we had three main consultations in this reporting year – before the coach trip and continuing during the coach journey and after the Christmas gala. For example, we now know that the over 50s group would like to engage in the impact of heat on their health.
