Company activities and impact

Project Youth Empowerment CIC exists to bridge the gaps which lead to young people falling through the cracks. We are committed to reducing social exclusion and disenfranchisement by championing young people in ways that bring them away from the margins of society. We provide services such as Mentoring, Advocacy, Workshops, School support, Training, Employment support, and holistic activities that are engaging and empowering and address issues experienced by young people, families, and the wider community. We focus on early intervention, desistance, and giving young people aged 10 - 24 a voice. These activities give them the opportunities they need to realise their full potential and, therefore, lead to positive outcomes.

Consultation with stakeholders

Project 4 Youth Empowerment (CIC) identifies its key stakeholders as: the young people directly engaged in its programmes, students within the schools where delivery takes place, parents and carers, and a range of professional partners. These professional stakeholders include teachers, mentoring organisations, statutory partners such as the police, the Youth Offending Service, social workers, the Croydon Gangs Team, and wider community organisations. Consultation with stakeholders is undertaken through a variety of mechanisms. These include the distribution of feedback forms to measure satisfaction and gather suggestions for improvement, structured community discussions with parents and carers, and forums with young people and families held both online and in person. During delivery sessions, anonymous suggestion slips are made available for young people to propose new activities or raise concerns. Regular meetings are also convened with community organisations and statutory bodies to exchange insights, review progress, and identify opportunities for collaboration. The organisation reviews and, where feasible, incorporates feedback obtained through these consultations into the design and delivery of its projects. A significant development in strengthening youth voice is the establishment of the P4YE Youth Board. This body provides young people with a formal platform to contribute to organisational decision-making, ensuring that their perspectives are integrated into strategic planning and programme development. The Youth Board serves as a mechanism for accountability, while also reinforcing P4YE’s commitment to placing young people at the centre of its mission and operations.
