COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

CAREALGO CARES CIC

Company Number: 12987871 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

CareAlgo CIC is a community interest company that develops technology and training solutions to make adult social care more culturally appropriate and inclusive. CareAlgo was founded in 2021 in response to the lack of culturally sensitive care available to ethnic minority communities in the UK. During the financial year 2024-2025, CareAlgo’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: Older people and adults in social care have been better supported to receive care that recognises their cultural background, language, and traditions, improving dignity, trust, and overall wellbeing. Local care providers have gained access to CareAlgo’s CPD-accredited training on culturally competent care, helping to reduce inequalities in service provision and to comply with best practice standards. Employment and professional development opportunities have been created for local trainers and facilitators delivering CareAlgo’s workshops, strengthening skills within the adult social care workforce. Care homes and domiciliary care agencies have been able to diversify their services by adopting CareAlgo’s cultural matching technology, reducing mismatches between care workers and care receivers and improving retention rates. Ethnic minority care workers have found greater recognition of their cultural and linguistic skills, helping them to feel more valued and supported in their roles.
