Then to the best of our ability to facilitate that happening. Activities have included, woodland management, tree coppicing, stool making, whittling, arts and craft and learning more about how to be mindful and look after our wellbeing. We engage with people in various methods, including social media, WhatApp groups and over the phone, as well as the in person sessions. Company activities and impact

Athelas CiC was formed in January 2016 to provide activities in a woodland setting to benefit individuals and their carers in the Yorkshire region who may be currently suffering or at risk of suffering from a physical, mental or emotional health issue. The community benefits from activities that contribute to the management and upkeep of the natural environment, learning new skills, spending time in a therapeutic environment with others in a social manner. During this year we focused on delivering on main project "Down the Woods" . We have made a great start on delivering this project. We have done a review of our our policies and procedures. Then updated them where needed. We have also started reaching out to local GP practices as we want to build upon our referral pathways to enable more people to enjoy our sessions. As part of this funding we have also been able to deliver a regular Thursday morning sessions.

Consultation with stakeholders

As part of our sessions we consult and listen to our participants. We keep a register and write down any observations and direct request from people. This could be things such as wanting Saturday sessions, to what type of activity we run. Some of the feedback from participants include "As a disabled person who is unable to get out of the house very often, being able to come every week I’m able provides me which social interaction I am otherwise starved of, and has instilled in me a sense of creativity and confidence in my crafting abilities that I’ve carried on beyond the group. It’s shown me that I should try to do things and not steer away from them in case I’m not brilliant at them."

Jennifer Scott received £6166 for sessional work and project management Tom Bardon received £1524.50 for sessional work and woodland rent
