Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 November 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

Subtle Radio is a community-led online radio station based in London, with a particular emphasis on supporting grassroots culture, independent artists, and diverse voices. The station has been broadcasting since 2014. During the financial year 2024–2025, Subtle Radio’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: local and international listeners have been able to access free, 24/7 broadcasts of music and discussions, providing a cultural platform that champions underrepresented genres and voices over 400 grassroots DJs, presenters, and artists have been given a platform to showcase their work, many of whom would otherwise lack access to traditional media opportunities the station has supported the development of young and emerging talent through workshops, mentoring, and on-air experience, equipping participants with valuable skills in broadcasting, event management, and creative industries employment and paid freelance opportunities have been provided for local residents in areas such as production, digital content, and event management
