During the year ended 31 August 2024, SAFE RETREAT HOUSING RELIEF CIC provided vital support services to vulnerable individuals and families in the community. Our activities included: Providing temporary housing and shelter for individuals in need Delivering counselling and wellbeing support to at-risk groups Offering life skills training and assistance with community resources Helping households gain access to services and opportunities These services improved the quality of life and promoted social inclusion within our community.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

Consultation with stakeholders

We engaged with service users and community partners throughout the year to ensure our services met the needs of vulnerable individuals. Feedback was collected and incorporated into our ongoing service improvements.
