Principal activities of the company

The principal activity of The Quran Hub CIC during the financial year was the provision of affordable, one-to-one online Qur'an and Islamic Studies tuition across the UK. The company delivers structured and personalised lessons for children, with a focus on Qur'an recitation, memorisation, and foundational Islamic knowledge. Lessons are taught by qualified UK-based tutors, and the service is aimed at supporting families who may not have access to traditional madrasah education, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or scheduling constraints.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Financial Reporting Standard 101

    Turnover policy

    The company does not have a conventional turnover policy. Any surplus generated from activities is reinvested into the company to support maintenance, operational costs and service improvements, ensuring sustainability.

    Valuation information and policy

    The company does not currently hold assets subject to valuation adjustments. All assets are recorded at cost, where applicable, with no revaluation required during the reporting period.

    Other accounting policies

    The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102), Section 1A, applicable to small entities in the UK. The accounts are prepared under the historical cost convention, with no material deviations.

Company activities and impact

The Quran Hub offers affordable, online Islamic Studies tuition to families with children across the UK. Our services are designed to support parents situated in remote places where there is limited access to madrasahs and for children who are in SEN and need tailored support, by providing high-quality, structured and personalised Islamic education in the comfort of their own homes. During our financial year, our impact has included (but is not limited to): 1) Helping dozens of students improve their Qur'an recitation, memorisation, and understanding of Islam. 2) Providing flexible learning support for working parents, single-parent households, and children with special educational needs (SEN). 3) Creating part-time teaching opportunities for UK-based tutors, with a focus on supporting women and graduates entering the education sector. 4) Strengthening community connection to Islamic knowledge by making learning more accessible and consistent for families who might otherwise miss out. Through this, The Quran Hub continues to fulfil its social purpose of empowering families with spiritual education and moral guidance in an accessible, reliable and modern format.
