During this reporting period, MLFUK CIC maintained its core mission of developing ethical, values-driven leadership, particularly engaging young British Muslims, while ensuring that its work provided clear and demonstrable benefit to the wider public. Key highlights of the year included: - Leadership Book Clubs: Structured discussions on leadership, civic ethics, and contemporary challenges, fostering inclusive spaces for reflection and critical dialogue. - Skills Training: Targeted workshops equipping emerging leaders with practical skills for civic, grassroots, and professional contexts. - Annual Reception and Iftar Event: Hosting our annual reception, a flagship gathering for our network of partners and alumni, alongside a well-attended iftar event. Both events provided accessible spaces for collaboration, reflection, and dialogue on leadership and public service. - Partnership Development: Formalising a strategic partnership with Islamic Relief UK, strengthening the organisation’s capacity to deliver high-quality leadership and civic engagement programmes. . Across all programmes, we engaged over 300 unique attendees during the reporting year. These activities contributed to the wider community by: - Providing inclusive and accessible spaces for learning, collaboration, and civic engagement. - Supporting participants to develop confidence, practical skills, and ethical grounding for meaningful contributions to society. - Building partnerships that expand reach and collective impact.
Throughout the year, MLFUK CIC engaged stakeholders to ensure its programmes remained responsive and relevant. This included: - Gathering feedback from participants through event evaluations and informal consultations. - Engaging alumni and partner organisations to inform programme design and planning. - Seeking input from community leaders to identify gaps in leadership development and opportunities for collaborative work. Feedback from these consultations guided programme delivery and informed decisions to strengthen accessibility and deepen strategic partnerships.
