The company has provided public toilets on the seafront at Blue Anchor, Somerset since April 2017. The facilities are fully compliant and segregated for males and females, plus a designated baby changing room, and a disabled toilet. The toilets are open 24 hours a day to all, including residents, visitors, tradespeople, delivery drivers etc. They provide a vital public service for the community and we employ a part-time cleaner to look after them. It is estimated that on average 100+ people use the facilities per day - more in the summer season. This means that approaching 40,000 persons use these toilets during a full year. Without the toilets there is a considerable health risk due to indiscriminate toileting at this location. The health and wellbeing is therefore safeguarded for all those who visit this seaside spot. Tourists help boost the local economy.
There is no shareholding in the company as we are custodians of what we consider a community asset. We do consult the two adjacent local Parish Councils as we rely on donations from them to be able to continue the service.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
