Elevate Tutoring was originally incorporated as a private limited company in December 2021 and began trading in February 2024. In August 2024, the company converted to a Community Interest Company to better reflect its social mission. During this first year of trading, our activities focused on providing high-quality, personalised tutoring to children and young people in the North East, particularly those facing barriers to their education. We worked with families and schools to ensure that pupils received tailored support, helping to build their confidence and improve their educational outcomes. Although we are still in the early stages of development as a CIC, we have already received positive feedback from parents, pupils and teachers, with encouraging signs of increased engagement and progress in learning.
Our stakeholders include pupils, parents, and schools. In 2024 we gathered informal feedback from families and, with consent, from teachers, which we used to shape tutoring sessions. We plan to build on this with more formal consultation methods in future years.
