Company activities and impact

In 2024, Supperready focused on tackling food insecurity on the Isle of Wight by distributing food parcels to vulnerable households. With support from the Household Support Fund grant, we were originally funded to provide 246 parcels but, through efficient use of resources, delivered 446 complete parcels during the year. Each parcel contained essential food items and was targeted at families, pensioners, disabled people, and others in need. This work helped reduce financial pressure on households, improve access to nutritious food, and strengthen community wellbeing.

Consultation with stakeholders

Supperready’s stakeholders include: -The households and individuals receiving food parcels. - The Isle of Wight Council as grant provider, and other local partners. - Volunteers supporting our work. Beneficiaries provided informal feedback when collecting parcels, particularly around portion sizes and variety of items. In response, we adjusted the mix of products (e.g. adding greater variety of noodles and flavoured milk) to better meet family needs. We also reported regularly to the Isle of Wight Council on grant usage, ensuring transparency and alignment with funding requirements. Volunteer feedback was sought informally during distribution sessions and led to improvements in the packing process to make it quicker and safer.
