The Community Interest Company, Doddington The 100th Club is run by a committee of 6 volunteers as a local community residents social club in the village of Doddington, Cambridgeshire catering for the needs of mainly retirees and the elderly, some which are disabled. The Club rented premise is fully equipped with Hearing Induction and Sight Impaired equipment and also the facilities at the local Doddington Pavillion, Sports and Recreation Fields Grounds on Benwick Road, Doddington where we hold our monthly gatherings. We invite guest speakers to present valuable information to our members such as Health and Welfare that is unable to be accessed if the member is not familiar with using internet equipment. Many members do not drive so we provide many activities and trips out to interesting places. Presently there are 46 Members that all pay an annual subscription, due on the 1st January inclusive to 31st December of £10 per person. This amount covers associated costs such as rental for the use of the building, special events and presentations, and covers costs of stationary, consumables and sundry items needed to run the club. The club has received a small grant from the SEED 'Care Together' Cambridgeshire County Council initiative to purchase a hearing loop induction system, laptop, projector and tablet which are used to visually assist and equipment needed for the amplified sound system during meetings.
The stakeholders are all the individual members of the Doddington The 100th Club. The Club has an AGM every year where members vote for the Club Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary. The Annual Financial reports are presented to all members at the AGM. All the members live in the surrounding area of Doddington. The club was established in 1954 as a village residential social club 70 years ago and still to date, is run solely by volunteers. The club committee has fundraising events that enable the club to subsidise club outings and club members luncheons and special events. The club uses specially equipped transport for those members that have impaired mobility when the club goes on day outings. The club allows all residents to join; there are not any restrictions such as age limits. The club committee members are all DBS checked and abide by the club Safeguarding and Equal Opportunity declarations.
