| 2024 was another financially successful year for ASPiH. We marked our 15th anniversary with our most successful conference yet, held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. This event attracted a record number of delegates and commercial partners, who joined us for three days of education, innovation, and celebration. The strength of the Edinburgh conference demonstrated once again that ASPiH is an organisation driven primarily by its members. The opportunities to share ideas and experiences, collaborate on research projects, and explore new areas of practice are central, not only to the advancement of healthcare simulation in the UK and internationally but also to the continued financial stability of the Association. During 2024, the Executive Committee worked hard to build upon and disseminate the success of the revised ASPiH Standards and to strengthen our sub-committee and Special Interest Group structures. These steps were taken in recognition of the growing workload and breadth of ASPiH's activities as the Association continues to expand. ASPiH also extended its global reach in 2024, formalising several new affiliations with international partner organisations. At the same time, we explored innovative ways to support our members, including the introduction of the ASPiH Portal and the creation of a Corporate Council designed to strengthen engagement with the simulation industry and commercial partners. Looking ahead, the Directors and Executive Committee remain committed to prudent financial management. We will continue to focus on controlling operating costs and ensuring that appropriate safeguards are in pace to secure the Association's financial future. In 2025, a planned review of our website and membership services will represent a significant undertaking and will contribute to increased expenditure on secretariat services. The Executive Committee is committed to ensuring that this investment is managed in a seamless and cost-effective manner, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and proactive support for our members.
