During the year, your CIC’s activities as lead and delivery partner of the Vanguard programme provided significant benefits to the Lambeth community by supporting high-risk young people who would otherwise be vulnerable to harm. Key benefits include: -Safeguarding Vulnerable Young People -Provided intensive 1:1 support for boys and girls who experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, youth violence, or criminal and sexual exploitation. -Reduced the risk of re-victimisation, escalation of harmful behaviours, and long-term trauma. Improved Wellbeing and Resilience Interventions supported mental health, emotional wellbeing, and coping skills. Young people built confidence, self-esteem, and life skills to navigate challenges safely. Educational and Life Opportunities The program linked participants to education, employment, and training opportunities. Helped young people re-engage with school or community activities, contributing to positive future outcomes. Strengthened Community and Partner Networks Collaboration with Lambeth Health and Social Care and Juvenis enhanced coordinated support and referral pathways. By connecting young people to statutory services and local resources, the program strengthened the wider community safety net. Prevention of Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Early intervention reduced the likelihood of participants becoming involved in criminal activity or youth violence. This contributes to safer neighbourhoods and reduced community harm. Amplifying Voice and Choice Young people engaged in shaping their interventions, giving them agency in their recovery and development. This empowerment creates long-term social value as participants become more active, resilient, and responsible members of the community. Overall Impact: The Vanguard programme directly supports some of the most vulnerable young people in Lambeth, providing life-changing interventions while also creating wider community benefits such as improved safety, stronger support networks, and increased awareness of the issues facing young people.
