Turquoise Arts CIC is a non-profit arts organisation dedicated to promoting wellbeing through creativity and nature awareness. During the financial year 2023-2024 the organisation's activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - Turquoise Arts raised awareness of local fungi species, some of which are globally rare and endangered, by organising a series of exhibitions and activities. - The exhibitions featured work by established artists and some people who had never exhibited before, giving an opportunity to show work in public venues. The exhibitions involved approximately fifty local artists, makers and writers. - Turquoise Arts provided additional educational and creative experiences, including 5 grassland fungi identification walks and 4 creative workshops. 42 people attended the fungi identification walks, and 46 people attended the creative workshops. Turquoise Arts received funding to provide these experiences. - Approximately 120 people attended a lecture organised by Turquoise Arts about the work of the local National Trust project to survey and protect grassland fungi species.
