The companies activities have benefitted the community in various ways. Our Heritage Centre has worked alongside and stocked the work of various local creatives - all from Derby and Derbyshire. This has enabled those creatives to have both a presence to display their work and an opportunity to financially benefit from it. Alongside various creative events we have hosted this has enabled various members of the community to increase their income and expand their presence. Our low-cost History walks have engaged and inspired members of the community leading to an increase in civic pride within those individuals which benefits the community as a whole. Additionally we have opened a Food and Drink Stall in Derby Market Hall. This stocks food and drink exclusively sourced from Derby and Derbyshire which benefits both local businesses and their employees.
A meeting was held with all members of the company to discuss the out going year in detail. Discussions centred around how the company had performed within the community in the first trading period and the first years accounts. Further discussion were held on the future and how we want the company to expand and offer more community spirited events. Following this discussion survey was completed forming a better understanding of how our customers and creatives needs could be better serviced in the coming periods.
