Between December 2023 and December 2024 the CIC: Heritage Trails – Oversaw the completion of Phase One of the multi-village Heritage Trails project, including digital QR-based interpretation and signage to engage residents and visitors. PG Wodehouse statue – Developed funding plans, engaged with the PG Wodehouse Society/Supporters Association, and advanced overall plans for the project. Progress is currently paused pending clarity on Emsworth redevelopment proposals. Community engagement and surveys – Conducted surveys to assess whether our activities met community needs. Results confirmed strong support for the trails and for the CIC as an umbrella body. Feedback also highlighted demand for more eco-information and eco-trail content, which will inform Phase Two of the trails. The beneficiaries of these activities include local residents, older people, families, schools, visitors, and the wider community interested in history, culture, and ecology.
The CIC worked closely with: Community groups – Emsworth Community Association, village organisations, heritage and ecological groups. Grant providers and supporters – discussions with local authority funders, grant-making bodies, and prospective philanthropic supporters. Public surveys – multiple surveys of residents and trail users confirmed that the CIC’s activities are valued and relevant, and
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
