Year Ending: 31 December 2024

Company activities and impact

We ran a two day circus skills workshop for young people; these workshops increase confidence, coordination and promote teamwork. We created a one-person show, filibuster, that we toured around the country with associated workshops for young people. These workshops increase confidence & self esteem. We began the process of developing our next show, Sand, which is about dementia & coastal erosion. We are developing this alongside a number of dementia support organisations.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are the participants in our workshops & the audiences for our shows. We have consulted with the Devon Memory Cafe consortium to inform our show about dementia – our aim is to create a piece that accurately reflects peoples lived experience, and also to find a way to make our work accessible to people with dementia. DCM have helped us to shape both the content and the form of this show. We also consulted with the local Dynamic Dunescape project officer to ensure that the coastal erosion element of the show will be accurate & reflect the latest science. We consulted with the landmark theatre’s participation officer to ensure that our workshop met the needs and interests of the young people who would attend. We collected feedback from the audiences to inform future work & to ensure that our work is accessible.
