3	Financial commitments, guarantees and contingencies

Amounts not provided for in the balance sheet

The company is limited by the guarantees of its members', the liability of each member is limited to £1. At the period end the company had no more than 530 members.

The company has provided an unlimited guarantee to The Halifax West End Golf Club Limited in respect of its liabilities. As at 31 December 2024 the liabilities of The Halifax West End Golf Club were £205,660 (2023 - £120,813). Since the year end this guarantee has been revoked.

BDW Trading Limited holds a legal charge over part of the freehold property. Since the year end this part of the freehold property has been sold and the charge has been removed.

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

For the financial year ending 31 December 2024 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

Directors' responsibilities:

•	The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 476; and
•	The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
