Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 September 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, Value Added Tax and other sales taxes.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life or, if held under a finance lease, over the lease term, whichever is the shorter. Fixtures and Fittings - 15% reducing balance

    Valuation information and policy

    Property, plant and equipment are measured using the cost model at cost less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is calculated on a straight-line basis over the estimated useful economic lives of the assets. The assets are reviewed for impairment when there are indicators that the carrying amount may not be recoverable.

As a community interest company, our boxing club in Mold has been dedicated to promoting physical well-being, mental resilience, and social inclusion within our local area. We provide accessible fitness and boxing training to people of all ages and backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on youth engagement, confidence building, and positive lifestyle choices. Through structured coaching sessions, outreach initiatives, and local partnerships, we offer a safe and supportive space where members of the community can improve their health, develop discipline, and foster a sense of belonging. Our programmes often target at-risk or undeserved individuals, helping to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve community cohesion. By reinvesting in our services and working in close collaboration with schools, local authorities, and other community groups, we continue to make a lasting, positive impact across Mold. Our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment remains at the heart of everything we do.
