Ffynnon is now running 4 community gardens includung alottments. Additionally this last financial year saw the beginning of work on our Farm start up. This was funded by central government and the aim is to support by providing land, training and equipment to those who don't traditionally come from an agricultural background but have a desire and a business idea to do so. The funding has allowed us to aquire land and build a barn and employ an experienced Farm manager. We participate widely in the local community at food festivals and provide an apple juicing sevice for the community. We are also working with local schools and charaties supporting disadvantaged young people to enjoy nature and participate in growing food.
Our stakeholders are: Grant providers - we engage regularly taking on board their feedback. We do this in person, by video call, by e-mail and by telephone. Local community - we ask for feedback after events, have a newsletter and a website.
One of our Directors is employed 3 days a week by Ffynnon as a project manager tasked with delivering the Farmstart project. She is paid £17 per hour. The other 2 Directors do not recieve any renumeration.
