COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

WESTBOURNE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION C.I.C.

Company Number: 09761636 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2024

Company activities and impact

The Company was incorporated in 2015 with the purpose of arranging activities which benefit the community, and to support and represent the business community through engagement with local authority and other third party organisations. The main aim of the association is to promote the business community as a retail, tourism and services destination through marketing, events and public relations. The stakeholders are all local businesses.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are all local businesses within the Westbourne community. The stakeholders were consulted in the year during informal networking events, by email and a Facebook page from which a consensus of opinions and suggestions are conveyed to the Board. If these suggestions are financially viable and considered to be beneficial to the stakeholders in general by enhancing their businesses, then the Board, with the help of the stakeholders, implement the suggestions. Following meetings and emails exchanges with the stakeholders, the Association organised during the summer a promotional "motor show" of old and classic cars which attracted a lot of visitors to Westbourne and generated funds for the Association through sponsorship. The footfall in Westbourne was increased and the knock on affect was to raise the profile of Westbourne to the benefit of the stakeholder businesses.
