For the year ending 31 December 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

Company activities and impact

Bowe Community Radio was founded by volunteers during the winter of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the ambition to inform and entertain a hyper local audience through audio streaming on the internet and website content. The activities of the organisation have benefited local people by: - Providing a creative outlet for people to share their favourite genre of music, content and unique personality through presentation opportunities. - Delivering impartial information, without fear of favour. And promoting hyper local events that improve the health and well-being of residents. - Promote the good and positive attributes of local community. - Connect underserved communities with multimedia opportunities (media training and podcasting facilities in a rural location)

Consultation with stakeholders

Bowe Community Radio’s stakeholders are those of the local community who consume multimedia content via the Bowe Community Radio website or audio via their smart speaker. Whilst there have been no formal consultations, interaction is often received via the Bowe Community Radio Web Player Contact form and via email.
