Safe House London is a Community Interest Company based in East London, working primarily in Hackney. We empower people to reach their fullest potential by offering creative activities, live projects, mentorship, work experience and employment referrals, and community events. Key Activities Fundraising Research & Planning - Undertook feasibility work for a dedicated community space in Hackney and Shoreditch - Identified that immediate fundraising was premature, deferring a public campaign until foundations are stronger Network Building & Partnerships - Focused on building strategic relationships with local organisations, creative professionals, and community stakeholders - Contributed to peer organisations by referring young creatives for opportunities, fostering collaboration across the sector Research & Development - Invested significant time in costings, programme design, and exploring models for sustainable growth and space acquisition -Developed insight to guide future service delivery, funding bids, and operational planning Impact - Strengthened local partnerships to create a pipeline of opportunities for young creatives via 2 credible organisations - Provided referrals into creative projects, work experience, and events that support personal and professional development - Built the organisational knowledge base needed to deliver long-term, impactful programming for the community Looking Ahead - Consolidate partnerships to co-design future projects and explore joint funding bids - Finalise accurate costings and phased plans for securing a Hackney/Shoreditch base - Identify and pursue grant and sponsorship opportunities to sustain and expand activities and team
