During the financial year Creative and Neuro-Diverse Innovations CIC delivered a wide range of inclusive events and initiatives designed to benefit neurodiverse individuals people with learning difficulties and the wider community. These included social events wellbeing workshops and opportunities for volunteering and skill development. Our community cafe has remained at the heart of our activities providing affordable and accessible food in a welcoming environment. Although the cafe operates at a financial loss this is an intentional policy to ensure that cost is never a barrier for individuals or families wishing to take part in community life. The impact of our work has been significant. We reduced social isolation and created opportunities for positive interaction. We promoted wellbeing confidence and personal development. We enabled people to engage in enterprise and volunteering in a supportive environment. We also ensured access to affordable food and inclusive activities for all members of the community. Through these activities Creative and Neuro-Diverse Innovations CIC has fulfilled its mission of enriching the community inspiring confidence and supporting wellbeing.
The companys stakeholders include community members volunteers event participants families of neurodiverse individuals and local partner organisations. Consultation has taken place in several ways. We have gathered feedback at events and activities spoken directly with volunteers and families and used informal surveys and conversations to understand the needs of the community. We have also listened to input through social media engagement and comments from parents and carers. As a result of this feedback we have continued to keep event prices low and food affordable at the community cafe. We have increased the number of inclusive social activities and we have created more flexible volunteering opportunities. These actions were taken in direct response to the views and needs expressed by our stakeholders.
