Community Paradigm CIC Over the past 12 months, Community Paradigm CIC has continued to build on its mission of creating safer, more informed communities by challenging harmful social norms and promoting gender equity. A significant strand of this work has been focused on the prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG) through direct engagement with young people and capacity building within the community. Program Overview Community Paradigm CIC delivered a series of 15 targeted workshops aimed at raising awareness and promoting positive behaviour change among young people, with a focus on early intervention and education. These sessions primarily engaged male participants under the age of 18, recognising the critical role that early education plays in shifting attitudes and preventing future harm. Train the Trainer Delivery In addition to youth-facing sessions, Community Paradigm CIC also facilitated a number of Train the Trainer sessions, equipping professionals, youth workers, and educators with the tools and confidence to deliver similar content in their own settings. These sessions: Focused on developing facilitation skills, understanding the root causes of VAWG, and embedding trauma-informed approaches Enabled a wider reach and sustainability of the programme’s impact Created a network of local champions and practitioners capable of continuing this vital work within their own organisations and communities The Train the Trainer strand reflects Community Paradigm CIC’s commitment to capacity building and long-term systemic change, ensuring that the principles of prevention are embedded well beyond the lifespan of individual projects. Key Outcomes Over 150 young people engaged across 15 sessions Youth participants explored critical themes such as consent, gender roles, power dynamics, and healthy relationships Professionals trained through the Train the Trainer model now actively apply the programme’s approach in schools, youth services, and community spaces Impact and Feedback Participants demonstrated increased awareness of VAWG and its broader societal impact Educators and professionals reported greater confidence in tackling sensitive topics and supporting young people effectively Some young attendees expressed a desire to act as peer role models, reinforcing positive change from within Looking Ahead Community Paradigm CIC plans to: Expand its Train the Trainer model to reach more professionals and volunteers Co-create content with young people to keep sessions fresh and engaging Develop impact measurement tools to track behavioural change over time across both youth and adult participants
