Blurton Reds FC has continued to provide football activities for over 180 children in the local area. Weekly training and league matches help to give confidence to all involved from players, to coaches and managers. The club is run by a team of around 40 valuable volunteers who run teams with some of the same volunteers being part of a committee who organise pitches, kick off times, finances etc. Their knowledge and interest in football in general keeps the teams and the club in general running smoothly. The managers keep the children engaged which also encourages and helps any new players to integrate into existing teams. The club offers training and league matches for U11 to U18's and these can be boys only, girls only or mixed teams. All teams are part of leagues who operate locally or slightly further afield.
