COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

EUTOPIA-WORLD CIC

Company Number: 12673127 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2024

Company activities and impact

Organisation of a yearly spiritual and well-being festival and community event in Glastonbury called 'Sacred Magdalene Festival'. Our activities created measurable social impact: 40 people attended the full weekend festival, 90+ people attended the panel talk and 90+ people attended the sacred music concert. For all the evening events, 10% of our audience were locals with low income who received free access More than 200 people attended the Tor pilgrimage Many participants reported feeling 'connected' and 'supported' after 'hopeful' after attending the full festival or part of the festival. General feedback on the festival is that people feel more free to express their spirituality and that they feel very encouraged to be themselves and express themselves freely and authentically through the support of the community that has been created through the festival since many years.

Consultation with stakeholders

During the reporting period, we engaged with members of the local community and of our online global audience to ensure that our activities continued to meet community needs and deliver social value. Our consultations included: Previous festival attendees: We interviewed previous attendees of our festival to ask them about how the festival supported them on their spiritual journey, which elements they really appreciated and what could be done better. Participants asked for follow-up meetings after the festival so we have since implemented free zoom meetings and meditations for people to continue to connect as a community. Partner Organisations: We partnered with the organisation of a women’s festival in Kent 'Heart of the Rose festival' to widen our audience Local outreach and accessibility: we increased the number of evening activities to allow more members of the local public to attend the festival. We worked with the local pilgrim’s centre and the local radio station to invite people to the pilgrimage and earth ritual.
