Stradbroke Media brings together a range of media projects in the small Suffolk village of Stradbroke which has approximately 1,400 residents. Our projects are: 1. Stradbroke Village Website (www.stradbroke.org.uk and Facebook Page) The website has been running for over 20 years and providing up-to-date information about the village, events and is widely used by members of the community. It is a resource for local residents, visitors and those who used to live in Stradbroke or are planning to move. The Facebook page continues to grow and we see this as an increasingly important part of our web resource. We now regularly broadcast live events via Video stream, for example remembrance day - these regulalry receive more than 1,000 views. 2. Radio Stradbroke Radio Stradbroke has been operational since 2006 and regularly has over 100 listeners per show. It broadcasts live daily and also has a partnership with Harleston Breakfast, a local radio show to broadcast a daily breakfast show on weekdays. It mainly broadcasts music and local information. It encourages local musical talent by inviting up-and-coming bands to perform and has both a local and worldwide audience due to the variety of music. 3. Stradbroke Village Archive (http://stradbrokearchive.org.uk) The archive has had an online presence for five years and has had over 30,000 unique views 4. Stradbroke Music Day Stradbroke Music Day is a one day music festival held annually in the village with just under 500 people attending. It supports local music and provides entertainment. It is currently the only annual large scale event in the village.
We regularly receive feedback from stakeholders via our online prescence and at our annual music event. We have worked with the Parish Council and other local groups. All our Directors are local Stradbroke residents.
