Over the past year, Worldly Wise has continued its dedicated work with schools across Kent, and occasionally beyond, particularly focusing on encouraging Year 8 female students to consider STEM careers. This year, we were honoured to receive funding from Kent County Council, who recognised the significant impact of our initiatives. In the last 12 months, we engaged with 772 students, surpassing our target of 250 set by KCC. Additionally, we onboarded 80 STEM companies, well above our target of 50. We also received 547 responses from students, exceeding our target of 100 and demonstrated a positive impact through follow-up surveys, with an impressive 534 responses compared to our target of 100. It’s been a truly fantastic year for Worldly Wise and we remain committed to our mission of supporting and inspiring students in their career paths through volunteer services and educational engagement.
