During the financial year 2024–2025, our organisation continued to make a positive impact on the community through a range of charitable and social initiatives. As a community church, we have been actively engaged in meeting both the physical and emotional needs of local residents. We provided groceries to families in need, ensuring that vulnerable members of the community had access to essential food supplies. Recognising the importance of emotional wellbeing, we also offered counselling support to both young people and the elderly, helping them navigate personal challenges and fostering resilience. To engage and support young people, we organised youth and teenage hang-out activities, creating safe spaces for social interaction, mentoring, and personal growth. Additionally, we hosted community-wide events, including an Easter party and a Christmas celebration, which brought people together and strengthened social bonds. In response to seasonal challenges, we distributed winter coats to elderly people and children during the colder months, helping to protect the most vulnerable from the effects of winter hardship. Furthermore, we assisted community members seeking employment by helping them to understand effective way of cv presentation and signposting them to the appropriate job agencies, contributing to economic empowerment and self-reliance. Through these initiatives, we have supported the physical needs, mental wellbeing, and social inclusion of individuals across different age groups, demonstrating our commitment to building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
Throughout the year, we engaged with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that our activities continued to meet the needs of the community. Stakeholders included church members, local residents, young people, parents, elderly community members, and partner organisations. We received regular feedback from church members and volunteers during planning meetings, which helped shape our charitable programmes. Youth and teenagers were consulted during group hang-out activities, allowing us to tailor sessions to their interests and needs. Elderly members of the community provided input during counselling and social support sessions, particularly highlighting the need for winter clothing support, which led to our winter coat distribution project. We maintained informal consultations with local families, who expressed the importance of seasonal gatherings, which guided our decision to organise community-wide Easter and Christmas parties. Where employment support was required, we liaised with local job agencies to ensure we could direct individuals to appropriate opportunities. This ongoing consultation process allowed us to remain responsive to community needs and to strengthen our impact by ensuring that our programmes were relevant, inclusive, and supportive of all groups within the community.
