Company activities and impact

In 2023, Looking Forward Art Projects continued its commitment to fostering socially engaged and sustainable art practices through several high-impact initiatives. Our work benefited the community by crcating spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas on themes such as decolonization, agro-biodiversity, and cultural regeneration. Our most significant project for the year was our involvement in Biennale Democrazia 2023, where we curated and coordinated two key events that were streamed online and a day of presentations and debates held in person at the Palazzo Civico in Turin. - Biennale Democrazia: Online Conversations with Casa delle Agriculture On March 15th, we organized an online conversation with Casa delle Agriculture (a voluntary organization in Salento focused on agro-biodiversity, inelusion, and the development of sustainable models in marginal territorics) in preparation for the Visible Temporary Parliament. Consultation with stakeholders

Looking Forward's key stakeholders include the artists and collectives we collaborate with, the local and international communities engaged through our projects, institutional partners such as Biennale Democrazia, Visible, and the Italian Council, and the various educational and cultural organizations involved in our programming. Based on feedback gathered during these consultations, we adjusted the event formats to foster more inclusive, participatory discussions that address the projects' diverse contexts. This responsive approach enabled more robust engagement from local communities and participants, ensuring the projects had a meaningful impact both in the territories they engaged in the broader conversation around socially engaged art practices.
