The company provides the financial framework for Bradwell Wildflower Group since 2022.The groups activities have benefited the community in 2024 by: 1. Maintaining 6 small sites around the village, providing plots with a range of local wildfowers and a wildlife-friendly environment, enriching the well-being of the residents and visitors to Bradwell. 2. Planting locally sourced wildflower seeds and plants, plus removing cuttings from mowing to encourage wildflower growth. 3.Providing volunteering opportunities for local people to maintain the sites. 4. Providing information and identification of local plants via a public walk, displays at the village carnival and church displays. 5. Raising awareness of the value of wildlife to the village through articles in the local newsletter and Bradwells schools projects.
The stakeholders are the residents of Bradwell, the parish council and Derbyshire Dales District council. The latter two have given their consent to use the plots of land. The resident stakeholders have been consulted at the carnival by asking for feedback, The parish council have been consulted over the timings of mowing and raking of the sites and kept in communication. The DDDC have also consulted with the Wildflower group over its 'Bee friendly' verge project. After consultation it has been agreed to cut an area early to allow the easier installation of a well-dressing display.
