Company activities and impact

The Highgate Festival is a local, community-focussed festival celebrating the history, creativity, culture and environment of the whole of the N6 Highgate Neighbourhood Forum area. Running over 9 days in June it contains over 30 events, exhibitions, talks and walks for locals and visitors to learn about what Highgate has to offer - supporting our local cultural venues, pubs and other businesses and groups. As well as heritage and culture there is a focus on climate issues locally with an one day Eco Fair that brings together over 20 local organisations supporting climate action through energy, biodiversity, transport, nature projects and campaigns. We reach a diverse audience of all ages ranges and ethnicity and try to make as many of the events free. It is organised by a small group of locals and we work with over 40+ organisations and groups helping them to stage and promote their activities and events through PR, marketing, print material, social media and our website. The aims of the festival are to enhance community cohesion in the area, make links and relationships between different organisations and locals, support our local businesses and venues and promote Highgate to London and beyond as a place full of heritage, culture and activity.
