Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 December 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Plant and machinery etc - 25% on reducing balance

    Other accounting policies

    Deferred tax Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

Company activities and impact

C We R Here CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that supports young ex-offenders by providing housing and life skills coaching to help integrate them back into the mainstream community. Accommodation is provided in either share accommodation properties or self-contained properties as determined by an individual’s needs We now operate seven further properties across Derbyshire, and continue to look at expanding our service provision further. C We R Here supports both Male and Female residents, some of the services offered include: a. Short and long term Support Plans b. Regular meetings with support workers to assess and track progress against Support Plans c. Liaising with external agencies (such as the local council homeless section and probation services) d. Referral to external support agencies (such as mental health and addiction agencies) e. Support and encouragement to continue in/ or return to education f. Life skills (such as budgeting, cooking, English, maths) Residents are referred by the police, the probation service and local authorities.

Consultation with stakeholders

Aside from the local community the company works closely with Derbyshire County Council, Erewash Borough Council, Amber Valley District Council, Derbyshire Police and the National Probation Service.

Directors' remuneration

Directors received a total of £44,391 (2023; £76,949) in salaries during the year, together with Company pension contributions of £364 (2023; £688). Directors were also reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses they incurred.
