Basis of preparation of financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
The company's functional and presentational currency is GBP, rounded to the nearest £1.
The following principal accounting policies have been applied:
The company shows net current liabilities at the balance sheet date of £1,638,790. The company has received formal confirmation from its parent undertaking that the company will receive the financial support it requires to enable it to meet its liabilities as they fall due. Based on this assurance, the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
In making their assessment of going concern, the directors have considered information for a period of at least twelve months from the date the financial statements were authorised for issue.
Investments in subsidiaries are measured at cost less accumulated impairment.
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price, less any impairment.

Cash and cash equivalents
|
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty on notice of not more than 24 hours.
Short term creditors are measured at the transaction price.
The company only enters into basic financial instrument transactions that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade and other debtors and creditors, loans from other third parties and investments in ordinary shares.
