1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

The Ladder Association Limited is a private company, limited by guarantee , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of services, excluding Value Added Tax.

Intangible assets software development
Costs associated with the development of a facility to allow online participation in courses have been capitalised and will be amortised over a period of 5 years.. Provision is made for any impairment.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

7. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

Peter Bennett, a director in The Ladder Association is also a director in Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association Limited (PASMA), Access Industry Management and Services Limited (AIMS), Access Industry Forum (AIF) and Test and Research Centre Limited.. The Ladder Association purchased goods and services totalling £210,294 (2023: £237,148) from the above companies and at the year end the amount due from The Ladder Association Ltd was £20,935 (2023: £30,473)

There was a loan due of £250,000 (2023: £276,666) to Test and Research Centre Holdings Limited and Test and Research Centre Limited.The Directors Peter Bennett, Steven John Booker and David Joseph Gray are directors and members of these companies and are considered to be persons of significant control.
