The company collates, monitors, revises, and publishes the trans-continental adventurous motorcycling tourism route called the Trans Euro Trail (TET) - a free to access and download suggested itinerary across Europe. The TET opened in July 2017 and became a CIC in 2018. During the financial year 2024-25, the TET CIC's activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - The majority of country sections of the TET have been revised on at least one occasion in response to suggestions and reports from both TET riders and local communities - The country of Moldova was added to the TET - Austria and Slovakia pages were taken offline as their tracks remained unavailable and so unpublished - The Romania track was taken offline as there were concerns regarding its legality or sustainability, and the unavailability of linesmen. - A TET Romania Development group was established on Facebook to try and work towards the creation of a new track. - The Facebook TET group membership grew to almost 250,000 members who continue to be active and demonstrate a positive role in assisting, advising, and helping their community peers. - The TET CIC maintained its membership of the Adventure Country Tracks eV in Germany, the Trail Riders Fellowship in the UK, and Codever in France as well as supporting the Motorcycle Action Group in Netherlands and FEMA on a European stage - The TET CIC was the major funder of the Slovenian not for profit trail advocacy organisation Institute of Trail Preservation, covering costs of a digital presence, establishment fees and developer. - Online Team TET meetings were continued for volunteers - The Handbooks for volunteer linesmen and contributors were updated The merchandising outlet (motoadv.bike) continued to provide a regular income from the sale of TET merchandise - A pilot project to create a leaflet to share with local communities and businesses was extended from Denmark, Luxembourg, France and Belgium to Italy. - Copyright infringements and abuse was addressed and IP ownership asserted The TET awarded the TET Sustainability Awards for individuals and organisations that work to promote sustainable trail use or allow trial riders to give back to the wider community and dispersed awards and prizes totalling Euro 1,750 to ogranisations working in the UK, Italy and France. - Considerable work was undertaken to review the governance structure of the TET with a new steering committee planned for 2025-26 - Internal and external communications were reviewed with considerable effort being spent improving things in the email sphere - The TET acronym was trademarked in the UK and the same process commenced in the EU. - Approaches were made to motorcycle manufacturers to invite them to support the work of the TET by extending offers of assistance to the linemen. -Social media engagement was extended to the reddit platform with engagement with a formerly unofficial subreddit. - Work on an online digital atlas of the entire TET was commenced with a planned launch in 2025-26 - Businesses (campsites, cafes, hotels etc.) continued to approach the TET requesting addition to the downloadable tracks and thus benefiting local communities as well as TET riders
The stakeholders of the Company are the riders, the communities we pass through, the businesses that benefit from the TET and the non-governmental organisations that facilitate continued use of unpaved roads in Europe. The Directors are lifelong adventure motorcyclists. Stakeholder consultation: Social Media in the form of TET Facebook Group. Although it does not capture or involve all users of the TET it does allow realtime interaction and discussion of issues, concerns and recommendations on how and when to travel. The high level of growth and engagement suggests that the TET CIC moderated social media platform is fulfilling a need for the community. The TET CIC organisation and the Linesmen monitor and engage in these discussions and identify issues and themes, discussing them amongst themselves in a private online group and adjusting, adapting and planning if need be in response. This can and has extended to taking sections off line. Our email address and those of Linesmen are publicised as avenues for suggestions and reports of issues. These are and have been used by both local communities (farmers, residents, and businesses) and by the TET riders themselves. These email addresses are augmented by the TET Android app which, although now only available to legacy users and not for new download, allows rapid, accurate and detailed reporting directly to the Linesmen while maintaining an archive of reports centrally. A plan for communicating and educating about the Code of Conduct that we champion needs to be further developed. This should benefit the hobby, the TET, trail riders and the local communities. In extending our support of trail riding advocacy groups to now include Italy's CER Lombardia, we are demonstrating that the TET is not just a user of tracks but a contributor to access and care of them as well as encouragement of inclusivity in the pastime.
The two Directors were each paid £312 to recompense for work provided but these sums have been carried forward as owing in the accounts.
Donation of Euro 1,000 to Codever, France (TET Sustainability Award) Donation of Euro 500 to TRF, UK (TET Sustainability Award) Donation of Euro 225 to CER Lombardial, Italy (TET Sustainability Award)
