Achievements and performance We have successfully concluded four grant funded projects and continuation funds through BRIC (Biulding Recovery in Communities) for our Next Chapter project. This year was important to secure long term substantial funding, where we are please to share that we have been granted National Lottery Reaching Communities Funding for 3 years and successfully navigated the procurement process for SYICB Mental Health Peer Support service for one years’ service with the potential to extend for a second year. Future Outlook To successfully build 1:1 Mental Health Peer Support within Rotherham, working with services, organisations and Peers to keep people well in the community. We also hope to develop working relationships with Services to help shape the future development of care that Peers receive whilst providing voice & influence opportunities. Our development of Volunteer led Peer Drop-In Sessions to create instant access daily support is that is developed in the community by the community. Within this Financial year we successfully secured 2 substantial funding streams that have allowed us to create pathways with both Secondary Care and Primary Care Mental Health Support on a 1:1 basis. Prior to this funding we only had capacity and funding for group sessions which limited progress in wellbeing & recovery. Our South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board contract has allowed us to commence work and integration into the Primary Care Mental Health Teams across the borough of Rotherham, providing Mental Health Peer Support in Rotherham, the first of its kind and forming a key part of the Rotherham Mental Health Transformation. Our National Lottery Funding we have supported Volunteers to access learning and development opportunities that would have been inaccessible to them before their contributions to this community. It started our journey and rollout of service to accept referrals from individuals in the community who are not engaging with services to come directly to us. Our Peer Support Team is building connections in the community and with services for our community to be given empowering opportunities to those who have faced ill mental health.
Throughout Autumn 2023 we gathered consultations through events such as Rotherham Show, where we had a great opportunity to speak to people we haven’t yet reached in the community. We used this information combined with feedback from our current peers to identify the areas of support that was needed in Rotherham. We are continuing our integration with Rotherham’s Community Mental Health Transformation which includes Clinical Directors within Primary Care, Secondary & Primary Care Mental Health Services, RDASH and Public Health (RMBC) to ensure we are continuously consulting with our Statutory Services. We are also consult monthly within the Mental Health Network meetings that are held by Voluntary Action Rotherham as part of the Community Mental Health Transformation.
Director renumeration can be found on page 11 of our financial statements.
