Company activities and impact

Partnership with Sisters in the Wild: As part of our commitment to widening participation and ensuring cycling is accessible to all, Rider Resilience has supported Sisters in the Wild to fully fund four place including travel and accommodation costs for individuals from underrepresented communities to attend their annual event. Sisters in the wild is a grassroots cycling collective dedicated to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces for women, non-binary and trans riders. Their events combine skills training, community and adventure, offering people the chance to connect with others, build resilience and experience the outdoors in a supportive environment. By funding places for those who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend, Rider Resilience has helped to reduce barriers to participation and to amplify voices that are too often under-represented in cycling and the wider outdoor community. This collaboration demonstrates our belief that cycling is a powerful tool for empowerment, resilience and belonging, and that access should be open to everyone. Fundraising for Nil’s Final Wishes and Legacy Film: In 2024, Rider Resilience led a fundraising initiative through the Dream Bike Build to honour and support the final wishes of our friend and fellow rider, Nils. This project was born from community spirit and a shared desire to celebrate Nil’s passion for cycling while ensuring his legacy would live on. Through the generosity of our supporters, the campaign not only contributed to Nil’s final wishes but also enabled the creation of the Rider Resilience film. The film brings together three powerful stories, those of Nil Amelinckx, Rachael Walker, and Sam Rice, each sharing how cycling became a vital tool for resilience in the face of life’s most difficult challenges. From Nil’s journey with terminal illness, to Rachael’s experience of healing after pregnancy loss, and Sam’s battle with depression and alcoholism, the film captures the transformative impact of cycling and community. This initiative reflects the heart of Rider Resilience: using the power of community and cycling to create meaningful change, honour those we ride alongside, and build lasting legacies that extend beyond the bike. Collaboration with Fell Brewery Rider Resilience partnered with Fell Brewery to create a limited-edition beer that celebrated our shared values of community, adventure, and resilience. This collaboration not only showcased the creativity and energy of the cycling community but also provided a platform to raise awareness and funds for Rider Resilience initiatives and the fell brewery community social rides. Through sales of the beer and related events, we were able to engage new audiences, strengthen our ties with local communities, and generate additional support for our projects that empower under-represented groups within cycling and the outdoors.
