  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives. Other tangible fixed assets 15% reducing Balance Method

Company activities and impact

Sensory World is a Multi Sensory Centre, providing support to children and adults who have a disability. This year we have busy renovating the rooms upstairs, to cater more for the teenagers with disabilities We are working on providing a Gaming room, life skills room, cinema room, activity rooms for all ages and separate meeting and event rooms for other support groups.
