COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

Company Number: 13079363 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2024

Company activities and impact

In the financial year ended 31 December 2024, Remember the Heroes C.I.C. delivered community-benefit activities focused on education and commemoration of Polish - British WWII aviation heritage. The company used small grant funding, including a grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, to: - produce and publish educational online materials (history posts, short features, and updates) aimed at UK and Polish diaspora audiences; - develop and maintain a dedicated project website, providing an accessible platform for presenting historical content and news to the public; - maintain and improve basic digital infrastructure (hosting, software subscriptions) to reach the community more effectively; - prepare groundwork for 2025 heritage events and collaborations (research, outreach, and promotional assets). These activities increased public awareness of shared UK–Polish wartime history, strengthened the cultural link between both countries, and supported ongoing engagement with volunteers, supporters and local communities.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders include followers/supporters of the project, volunteers, local community members interested in WWII heritage, and partner organisations from the heritage sector. During 2024 we gathered feedback primarily via our social media channels and direct messages. Feedback informed our content topics and clarified demand for accessible, bilingual materials. We will continue light-touch online consultation going forward and plan to run simple polls to prioritise topics.
