COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

The company runs a social enterprise, a general well-being organization with a particular emphasis on mental and social well being and support for positive / intentional parenting with locally produced videos podcast and blogs. The organization could not opened for business until November 2024, however we conducted a survey during the financial year 2023-2024, the organization's research activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - local residents (particularly those without family in the UK ) have been able to express their needs in a questionnaire that enabled us to put some plan in place to support individual family need . - the number of “needs” expressed by the local residents has been reviewed and 10% of the families have had their needs met - the organization has provided opportunities for 50 local residents to express their need to support their mental health and childcare and they all did. This was a great achievement for us we are now ready to gradually implement to reduce the high rate of mental health in our local community

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s primary stakeholders are residents of the local community. The directors, who have lived in the area for many years, developed the social enterprise model based on their personal experience and ongoing conversations with other residents. As part of our initial consultation, we engaged 50 local families through a short questionnaire about their mental health and social well-being needs. This exercise allowed us to build a profile of community priorities and identify key areas of support. Our findings showed that: 42 households expressed a need for regular social and support events to help them relax, connect with others, and strengthen their mental well-being. 15 households identified a pressing need for childcare support to reduce stress and enable greater participation in work and community life. This consultation process has ensured that our service plans are community-led and reflect the real needs of local residents
